Paid Contents Now Available at Nokia Store In the Philippines

Hey look what’s finally here! I’ve been begging for Nokia since last year to make paid contents available here in the Philippines. And it has finally came! You can now buy paid apps, games, themes, or anything that is available at Nokia Store. Currently, the prices are in Euro (€) so if you’re planning to buy using your credit or debit card, you may incur higher charges as Euros have higher exchange rate than US Dollars.

Coincidentally, I tweeted Andrew from Nokia yesterday ranting on when will they offer paid contents here. He replied that paid contents are currently not available here (so I wonder if they has just flipped the switch today) but highlighted that operator billing should be available very soon. Operator billing is a more convenient and easier way to pay for contents at Nokia Store, add the fact that there are millions of stores that offer electronic top-ups here in the Philippines.

Fingers crossed right now that the price will be available in Philippine Peso (PHP) and that the operator billing will be offered on Smart and Globe Telecom. 😀
