The Samsung I8900 Omnia HD and Motorola Milestone have been geared up for a battle against the prototype Nokia N8. The battle is about the AMOLED screen test vs the LCD of Milestone, and the RAM usage for the proto N8 vs the Omnia HD.
The difference for the amount of RAM left after boot up of N8 and Omnia HD is analogous. In fact, the N8 is a prototype and running on Symbian^3 with 1 screen full of widgets and 2 screens with half-filled widgets. Just expect there will be still a difference after the N8 is in final version or rather the Omnia HD is on S^3.
Next was the test about the screens of three smartphones. Respectively n video, Motorola Milestone, Nokia N8 and the Samsung Omnia HD in video. The Milestone has a 3.7″ LCD screen with a 854 x 480 screen resolution, followed by N8 with 3.5″ AMOLED screen at 640 x 360 resolution and Omnia HD for 3.7″ AMOLED and 640 x 360 pixels.
The comparison for the screens is somewhat not that accurate as we don’t know the state of these devices. Some may be old-defect screens, or have been thickened like on the gorilla screen of Nokia N8. Nonetheless, these comparison is just a preview of many tests to come but with the final N8 soon.
Anyways, do you agree with these videos?
