Thanks to CJ, we’ve learned that the Nokia E75 is the latest Nokia device to get its firmware updated, which takes it to v210.12.15. Nokia seem to be more proactive nowadays when it comes to firmware updates, well with the newer devices anyway, and we really hope this aftercare continues. Previously devices endured months upon months without any fixes to such important issues, however with the new devices comes this new outlook on after sale service, which we really applaud here at SymbianWorld. As for the update, there is no official changelog, but if you managed to update your device then please share your experiences below. The Nokia E75 sports UDP (user data preservation) so rest assured all your content will stay preserved after the update. But we still recommend backing up your content, just in case. The Nokia N86 8MP has recently been updated with a new firmware taking it up to v30.009. The new update brings with it the new Ovi Maps 3.3 with free voice guided navigation, allows you to share your location via Facebook and also includes some improvements to Nokia Messaging. The Nokia N79 and N85 have both received new firmwares, taking them to v.32.001 and v31.002 retrospectively. There is no official changelog for either device yet, however we highly recommend you keep your handset up to date in order to experience new features and bug fixes. The Nokia N96 has just received a new firmware taking it up to 30.101. New firmwares generally bring new features and bug fixes, so we recommend you back up your data and start updating. The Nokia N96 supports FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) so you can update your device easily by dialing *#0000# at the home screen and the device manager will open. Then press options and check for updates.
