The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic phone is one of the latest “budget” touchscreen devices to hit the market, and i managed to get ahold of one from “Carphone Warehouse”, as not only has this phone recently been released in the UK – but it is exclusive (for the moment) to Carphone warehouse in the UK, so to celebrate its arrival i decided to share my thoughts  about the phone.

Nokia E55 Video Review

Rafe from All About Symbian has put together a great video review of the new Nokia E55. The E55 is supposed to be the upgrade to the Nokia E71, with a half-qwerty keypad making it more compact. The E55 has built-in active noise reduction, a massive 31 days of standby, 3.2MP camera with panoramic mode and is only 9.9mm thick.

Motion Commotion

As you all know I’ve had the Nokia N86 8MP for about a month now, and I’m currently working on the final part of the review. However today I want to share some of the interesting features I found regarding the built in motion sensor. A few well acknowledged features include the ability to auto-rotate the screen, use the device as a control during gaming, and of course, silence calls and snooze alarms, by simply flipping the device over during the alert. However, whilst browsing the internet on the N86 at night, I found a few nifty little features.

Nokia N86 8MP Review – Part 2 – Software

In Part One of the Nokia N86 8MP Review I focused on the hardware and build quality of the handset. Today I intend to delve deep inside the N86 exploring the software aspect of the device. Just to quickly recap, the Nokia N86 8MP is Nokia’s new flagship camera-phone. The device sports 8GB of built in storage as well as a microSD card slot, and has all the now ‘standard’ features including Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and a Digital Compass. The N86 has a built in FM transmitter too, along with the extraordinary 8 megapixel, Carl Zeiss wide-angle lens, setting itself way above it’s competition.

Nokia N86 8MP Review – Part 1 – Hardware

Nokia is finally catching up in the megapixel race and have released an 8 megapixel smartphone, proudly crowned, the Nokia N86 8MP. When the N86 first surfaced at Mobile World Congress it arrived as the Nokia N85 8MP and for good reason in fact. It is pretty much an N85 with a few tweaks here and there, and of course, an 8 megapixel Carl Zeiss wide-angle lens with variable aperture. Nokia were quick to rename the device and the Nokia N86 8MP saw it’s release alongside the Nokia N97 earlier last month.
