It’s almost months now since I’ve used my GPS on my Nokia N97 mini and luckily I was to able to use it again and compared with my Nokia E52. I was hoping that this comparison would help me to solve some other issues that users experience, specially on the GPS speed locking.
The Ovi Maps is getting more and more exciting to use with its latest updates to its guides and travel goodies. Like the latest feature that have been added, the TimeOut. If you love exploring as well as being updated with fashion, shopping, night outs, gigs, food and everything you could discover in your favorite cities and places. Today, TimeOut in Ovi Maps can support info and updates for these cities-London, Chicago, New York, Lisbon, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, or Sydney. More cities will be added soon. So everything you will need is your Nokia devices with its latest Ovi Maps v3.04.
Now, two further handsets havel been added to Nokia’s free navigation offer. Initially only a few handsets have been supported. In easy stages more devices get support, now also the Nokia E71 as well as the Nokia E66.
“The process of making the latest version of Ovi Maps available for existing devices is quite involved, but the team managed to include complete navigation functionality. Due to technical constraints in back porting the app to existing devices, unfortunately, it wasn’t possible to offer further premium content such as the Michelin and Lonely Planet guides.”
However, this version does not come with any premium features. Nonetheless, Ovi Maps 3.03 offers free car- and pedestrian navigation and is worth downloading indeed.
