Nokia 5800 Appears In Katy Perry’s New Music Video

Katy Pery’s new music video for the song “Waking Up In Vegas” has a nice little surprise for Nokia fans as the music video features the ever popular Nokia 5800 XpressMusic edition mobile phone and unlike the previous music video “Hot and cold” where the Nokia N96 made a small appearence, the nokia 5800 features a rather large appearance in this music video.

With the 5800 Nokia has made a step into the right direction – I think that nobody thought that this mid-tier touchscreen-device would be such a good-selling product when it was launched, but now after a few months we definitely can see that everybody wants one. First the device was launched in Moscow, the result: It was out of stock just a few hours after it hit the shelves. Then there was a special christmas-campaign in Germany, the result was the same as in Moscow: The device was out of stock after a few hours.

However, now the device came to Shanghai – of course with the same massive boom as in Russia and Germany. Watch the video above to take a look of what happened on the launch-day of the 5800 XpressMusic in Shanghai!

I am a user of Nokia mobile-phones for several years by now. Actually I had many problems with the build-quality and other issues of all the phones by Nokia I have used. The new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has just gone live in the United Kingdom. It is Nokia’s first Symbian S60 touchscreen device and it costs about £250. Actually it is a mid-tier device featuring a touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, wi-fi and much more.
