The Nokia Beta Labs have announced that Here & Now has just been updated and is finally out of the Beta stage. Here & Now gives you timely information about Weather, Events, Movies and Restaurants, based on your current location. The new version is available via Software Update (over-the-air or through Ovi Suite) for select devices, and should be more widely available very soon.
The Ovi Mail team has just released Ovi Mail 2.0, with which your Ovi Mail contacts and Ovi Contacts are merged into a single contacts list. You can view, edit, delete or create your contacts from Ovi Contacts or Ovi Mail. You can also sync your device phonebook with Ovi Contacts and Ovi Mail.
DigiTimes have reported that Nokia is planing to speed up the development of the Symbian platform by launching Symbian^3, which will feature multi-touch functions, in the third quarter of 2010. Apparently the Finish giants are looking to scrap Symbian^2 altogether and continue to push the Symbian development even further with the release of Symbian^4 by the end of this year.
The Nokia Beta Labs have just released a fix to the pre-Beta touch version of Nokia Image Exchange that was released earlier. The original version unfortunately had some issues that needed immediate attention. Therefore today’s update should make the application more stable, with which they have also included some UI polish.
