WhatsApp remvoved Windows Phone Store

That WhatsApp for Windows Phone is the least supported version compared to Android and iOS is no secret. However, now WhatsApp was pulled from the Windows Phone Store and cannot be downloaded currently.

The WhatApp Team gave following statement regarding the issue:

Unfortunately due to technical issues, we have chosen to un-publish WhatsApp Messenger on the Windows Phone platform. We are working closely with Microsoft to resolve the issues and hope to return to the store shortly. We apologize to our users for the temporary inconvenience.

Let’s hope that WhatsApp will be very soon available again and moreover receive a proper update.

WhatsApp: Chat Background to come very soon for Windows Phone 8

If you take a look in the recent ratings for WhatsApp in the Marketplace you’ll notice that many user still wait for the option to change the background in their chats. While we have seen many features added in the last months thisĀ  is one of a few features that is still missing compared to iOS or Android. However, now a German WhatsApp-translator revealed that this feature is coming very soon, as the team behind the app asked him to translate the following text into German.


Furthermore he said that you’ll be able to sent sound files too. Really can’t wait for those features in the coming update
